Ch. 1: Black Dog---Junichi's Begining

[Junichi]

The roar of the urban cityscape surrounded him, as Junichi awoke from last night's sleep. He rose from the ground of an alleyway, brushing himself off and headed down the main thoroughfare of Pirate City. He had come to the City, because word on the street said that there was a Pokemon Lab somewhere in town. Junichi had seen many Pokemon battles before and knew allot about different Pokemon from reading at different libraries. Though, he had never had enough money to buy one from a local Game Corner, so it looked like the lab was his only chance at ever becoming a Pokemon Trainer.
People stared oddly at his hair and attire as he gradually made his way towards the Lab, though Junichi never paid them any mind. When he arrived at the front of the lab, he saw the gruff looking gaurds and said with an all business look , I need to get my starter pokemon, I don't want any trouble. Just let me pass if you will.

[Flareon]

The guards were in a pleasant mood, and didn't pay much attention to him. They just sort of looked at him, and nodded.

"Fine." they said "But don't cause any trouble..." they warned. "Because if you do, we'll have to kick your sorry arse..."

They moved aside.

[Junichi]

Junichi nodded and walked up the steps to the entryway. He came upon the door and knocked fairly loudly. He wasn't sure if the Prof. that resided here was home or not, but he thought the guards would have let him know otherwise.

[Flareon]

The professor was in the window above the door, and he tossed a pie at Junichi, giggling to himself.

Rhine was downstairs, and heading toward the door thinking " Jeese...why do I bother working with sich a bafoon..." She reached the door. "I guess someone has to run the lab" She thought.

[Junichi]

Junichi felt the pie coming just in time, and stepped out of its oh-so-yummy reach. He looked up and saw a middle aged man in a lab coat laughing maniacally. Oh boy....I'm in for a heck of a day He thought to himself as he waited. Suddenly a wild Sentret emerged quickly from out of nowhere, took the pie, and disappeared. Junichi shrugged his shoulders, he could hear footsteps in the distance.

[Rose]

The footsteps were those of little Kito. She stared feebily at Junichi. She was able to get past the guards easily. Her black and white ears twitched. She was very small for her age, and it seemed as though she were very frightend. "Sorry To just walk up here..." Her little voice rang with the knoledge of what seemed like everything. She looked down at the ground to see the remains of what looked like pie. And she flinched. It wasn't something she had actually seen every day. Her tail drooped a little behind her, and her ears flattened to her head. 'I sense Malice...' She barked, looking up at the window where the maniacal Professor was

[Junichi]

Junichi glanced at the standing beside him, wondering if she would become the next target of the Prof's pie throwing madness. He guessed she must be here for her first Pokemon too, and so the two waited idly for someone to answer the door, when they heard footsteps from inside.

[Flareon]

Rhine opened the door. She was wearing her typical knight uniform - (The imperial guard armour), and looked much like the guards outside, except less anonymous, thanks to a lack of helmet. Young, about twenty four or so, she was an aspiring professor herself...and, she had to work with a pie-throwing dimwit in order to achieve her goal...

"Hello. Welcome to Pirate's Lab...Its not much of a town, is it?"

[Rose]

Kito smiled at Rhine. "Oh, No M'mam. It's a rather nice town. Though, It doesn't have much."

She talked so shyly towards Rhine, and she sounded as if she didn't talk to People that much. Kito tugged on Junichi's cloak. "Hey, Mister...Are you here for a Pokemon as well?" She asked, Ignoring Rhine for a moment.

[Junichi]

Why yes I am. I've traveled quite far to get here, but I hope it's worth it. My name's Junichi by the way, you can just call me 'June, Junichi replyed to Kito. He turned towards Rhine and said, Ya, it's pretty rough 'round these parts, though the fights are pretty easy. I've found cage matches are getting a bit more boring than they used to be, and so I've settled for a more tame-yet entertaining sport. I hope you'll help me out Prof.

[Flareon]

Rhine chuckled when she mentioned it was a "nice" town.

"Yeah...thats why we guards exist...to stop "nice people"...Though, I've been promoted to Body guard/assistant...so, I get paid more than these guys outside..."

"You two can call me Rhine. Please, come in."

[Rose]

Kito gave her a weird look. The town was only nice to her because No one messed with her. Perhaps it was because of the pokemon that possesed Kito? She shrugged, and nodded at Junichi and Rhine. "Right....Nice to meet you, Junichi, Rhine..." She mumbled, and took a step inside the lab.

[Junichi]

Junichi stepped inside, gazing at the interior. He had never been in a lab before, but something in a very distant part of his mind said that he had. He'd never seen so much electronic equipment bunched together before, as he generally took to the streets and not places of knowledge.

[Flareon]

"So, what can I do for the two of you? Aka, which pokemon would you like?"

Rhine had already sat down, and was grooming an undersized ponyta.

[Rose]

After Rhine said something, she spoke her name aloud. "I'm Kito..." She then nodded quietly. "I'd like a Shiny Eevee, please?" her ears pricked with the excitement of getting a pokemon, finally. She glanced at the undersized Ponyta with curiousity. Though it was small, it was one of the cutest things she had seen in the whole town. Even if the poor thing was deformed, it would probably still be cute in her eyes.
