0) Although the site has no character template as of yet, it is still asked that you be as descriptive as possible. It makes the rps more enjoyable for both you, and the person you are roleplaying with. All character descriptions are expected to have a background/history and a personality, as well as clothing and physical appearance. Other than that, we don't want you to conform to a template. You can do what you want aside from those 3 aspects. And most of all, HAVE FUN designing your character.
1) Keep all Dialog in Bold please. This rule was adapted from my experience on Koden and Sharian, and, I agree with them to put it bluntly. Its so much easier to read. You will be reminded if you forget, and soon, it'll become a habit. I know, it took a while for me to get used to as well.
2) No chat speak at all. No 1337, or anything of that sort. I don't mind the common ones like lol, brb, or wtf...however, they must be used OUTSIDE of character.
3) No Powerplaying. This means, you can't force something to happen to another person's character, if they don't condone it. This means you can't do this:
"Charizard used his tail, and smacked Blastoise in the face and knocked it out."
Because, what if the other player doesn't want Blastoise knocked out yet? Also, what if they want Blastoise to dodge, and not even get hit with the tail?
4) Likewise, there is no Godmodding allowed here. Your character cannot be perfectly ultimate. They cannot dodge every attack, and can't be indestructable.. (There are exceptions. Ask me if you want.)
- If your character is already dead, then they have no effect on this world. They can fly around as spirits, but cannot effect this world other than talking to the living. In that case, the character is not destructable, because they've already been destroyed.
4.5) Using protect. Protect is a move that I personally don't like. I will allow it up to three times in any given battle. There are some conditions: You can't follow up protect with a second attack, because that breaks the "No indestructable characters" tule. You also have to take into account that Protects accuracy halves each time you use it consecutively.
5. Pokemon talking. Unless your pokemon is like Meowth from the show, can can speak english, I'd prefer that you keep their dialog in bold and italics, and in-between two "~"s.
Like this: ~Meowth! Thats right!~
6. For thoughts that your character may have, you would type that in italics, and enclosed in two "-"s.
Like this: -I sure hope I can win this...she'll kill me if I don't...- Edgardo thought.
7. Don't be short and boring. (Like this rule for example)
